精神病是洪水猛兽？---从社会上对精神病的偏见到医疗体制改革

据有关部门的保守估计,中国严重精神疾病患者人数已达到1600余万,其中每年约有25万人死于自杀，有160余万人对社会治安构成危害。据统计,我国精神病发病率从20世纪70年代中后期的0.32%攀升至如今的1.55%,发病率20年中竟上升了3.5倍,而在20岁以上的成年人群中,精神病人数正以每年 11. 3%的速度上升。

任何人都有机会患上精神病；根据各大城市的研究，平均十个人中有一人在一生中会患上精神病。

精神病只是一概括名词，其实精神病种类繁多，有急性或慢性，亦有温和及严重之分。以下是一些常见的精神病：

强迫心理症

病者的脑中不断重复一些思想或意念，驱使病者不断重复和无法停止某些行为，例如不停洗手、不断检查门锁、煤气掣等。

患者的临床表现可分为两大类：强迫观念及强迫行为。强迫观念是一种思维障碍，患者常纠缠于一些毫无意义的想法上，如「人为什么有两只脚？」强迫行为是一种不合逻辑但又不能制止的行为，常与强迫观念同时存在。

焦虑症

最突出的症状是精神及躯体的焦虑反应，但却往往无特别可理解的原因。

急性焦虑症患者，表现极度紧张、忧虑、心跳及呼吸加速、出汗、恶心呕吐、腹泻，更严重时会感到烦燥不安、瞳孔扩大、感到巳濒临死亡或将要「发疯」。

慢性焦虑症患者，主要表现一般焦虑症状，或会持续几个星期，经常觉得紧张、疲倦，神经过敏，精神无法集中，常因些少事情而忐忑不安。

抑郁躁狂症

大概百份之一的人口患上此病症：

有些患者会极端忧郁，另一些则极端兴奋。

抑郁症：

悲观、缺乏自尊与信心、过度内疚；精神不集中、善忘、思考缓慢；失去活力、不愿做任何事；厌食、失眠；有自杀念头。

躁狂症：长期情绪高昂、过度活跃；多话、举止轻狂、不切实际、好花钱；自觉精力过人，毫无睡意；自尊膨胀；烦燥易怒；对事物反应过敏，有时甚至不可理喻。

精神分裂症

最常见的一种精神病；

思想紊乱：思维不连串、缺乏逻辑性；常有妄想或妄信，如经常以为自己遭人迫害，或将自己的地位、权力等夸大至难以置信的地步。

认知紊乱：常有幻觉，会听到、见到或嗅到一些并不存在或其它人感受不到的事物。

情感紊乱：对情感的反应不适当，有时反应可能过份敏感，有时却又没有反应。

行为紊乱：言语动作呆板、重复；或会自创名词或用语。

现代的社会的导向，在很多人的心目中形成了惟有金钱，权利，名声才是人生的成功标准。过去很多农村人，对于种好2亩地，吃饱了饭，有衣服穿，夏天女士们聚在一起，在屋山头的树阴下绣绣花，拉拉家常；每年看村里唱几场大戏，或者男女老少齐上阵，人人登台，拉上一曲，唱上一段；天一黑，就睡觉，天一亮，就起床；无忧无虑。这样的生活人人都过得其乐融融。经济社会，为这些人引入了激烈竞争的机制，人人为了在有限的资源和条件下，人们为了追求成功，为了成为别人眼中值得羡慕的对象，为了在激烈的竞争中，立于不败之地，人们不得不延长工作时间，或更多的时间研究商业谋略，而有些谋略甚至是不道德的恶意竞争，但是在利益驱动下，有些人会不惜一切在使用这些谋略，而其他的人，为了不成为牺牲对象，也不得不花更多的时间来研究防范措施。人们的精神压力越来越大，那种单纯的快乐越来越少了。

金钱的增加，并没有让人们的满足感和幸福感增加，人们满足感普遍下降。那种吃完了手赶面，与伙伴们做在树阴下聊天的快乐，是做在豪华轿车里，却在担心生意破产，失去了豪华轿车，永远也比不了的。２００５年，美国《财富》杂志中文版针对中国精英阶层中的高级经理人做了一项心理调查，共有１５７６位高级经理人成为调查对象。这次调查用了一个心理学专用名词——心理衰竭。这种状况被描述成身体、情绪和心理上消耗殆尽的状态，在这种状态下，人将体验到持续的身心疲惫不堪、厌倦沮丧、悲观失望、失去创造力和生命活力，是身心不健康的最严重后果。调查显示，中国高级经理人有２７％心理衰竭。

社会差距的扩大，也让人们的满足感下降。

没有完善的养老，教育，医疗等社会福利体制，让人们面对的生活压力也越来越大。为了生活疲于奔命,根本顾不上精神和心理的长期疲惫,需要休息。

人们满足感和幸福感的下降，激烈竞争，生活压力，使得精神长期处于亚健康的人越来越多。越来越多的人，会经常性的出现身心疲惫不堪、厌倦沮丧、悲观失望、失去创造力和生命活力，嫉妒，愤怒，恐惧，担忧，缺乏信心等负面情绪。这些亚健康的精神状态,让人们面对打击时精神更脆弱,导致精神病发病率上升。  

精神病已成了医学界越来越更为关注的课题，而精神健康也成了现代社会人人必须关注的问题。但是目前这方面主要存在以下几个方面的问题。

  一.   社会上对精神病的偏见很大。精神病患者发病时伤害他人，毁坏东西；衣不遮体，口吐脏言；举止幼稚、滑稽、愚蠢……由于人们把精神病人的病态表现和他们的人格放在一起看，故认为精神病是见不得人的病。因此，有的家庭出现精神病患者，就觉得是“家丑”，怕人知道后影响声誉，特别是“精神病是家族病”这种由来已久且确有一定依据的说法，更使其家庭人员害怕“家丑”外扬而影响其他人的婚姻和正常生活，如此一来，往往贻误最佳的治疗机会，毁了患者的一生。  
　　一个家庭有了精神病患者，不但患者本人成了最无助的弱者，其家庭也到了社会的底层，受到歧视。甚至连治疗精神病患者的医疗机构也都难逃此厄。由于这种偏见，一些基本恢复正常的患者回到社会上后，仍被人看成是“精神病”，得不到信任。结果，他们受刺激后很容易旧病复发甚至发生自杀的悲剧。

  二.  社会没有完善的精神辅导机制。有一些负面的精神问题，如果能够得到及时的引导和治疗，就可以及时消除。但是很多国家并没有完善的心理辅导服务机制。世界卫生组织总干事布伦特兰曾指出，从181个国家收集的信息表明，43％的国家缺少关于心理卫生的政策，23％的国家从来没有制定过这方面的法律草案。统计数字还表明，38％的国家没有社区心理卫生服务机构，41％的国家的初级保健中心不提供任何心理疾病治疗服务。因此建立完善的心理卫生服务机构，出台心理卫生的政策，国家制定相关的法律才是关键。目前社会上也有一些心理辅导机构，但是国家对从事这一行业的人员没有统一的执业标准和相关法律，所以在这一行业中甚至出现了一些也打着心理辅导名义的陪聊服务，而这些人是没有任何的心理卫生保健知识的。

  三.  目前也存在着很多的医疗弊端。目前中国的很多医院和医务人员，的确存在着职业道德丧失，为了牟取利益，欺骗消费者的现象。笔者有一在医院工作的朋友就说，只要您来到医院门，没有病，医生要说您有病，有小病，要说您有大病。10元钱能够治好的病，他会让您拿100元钱的药。做手术除了交应有的费用外，对主刀的医生和相关人员一定要有红包的。

医生和制药公司的结合，如美国精神病学协会前主席Steven Sharfstein也指出，因为公然允许精神病学与制药公司错误结合在一起，导致在他们领域的金钱腐败。特别是一些社会上公认的专家，他们特别向您推荐一些价格昂贵的药物，尽管有些药物疗效不大，甚至有严重副作用。

而目前，很多国家对保护精神病人治疗过程中的人权，几乎还是空白。很多病人被强迫吃药，甚至会被绑架到医院进行治疗，大部分的病人甚至被剥夺了知道自己吃的药物是甚吗的权利。而且精神病人更是一群被剥夺了说话权利的人。似乎只要是被带上了精神病的帽子，他们所说的话，社会上就可以说：“他是精神病，不能相信他说的话。”在这样的情况下，病人家庭为了病人付出了不该付出的高昂医药费，被欺骗还被蒙在鼓里，还认为越贵的药，对病人越有帮助。而病人即使知道药物的副作用，也没有人肯相信他们的话，给他们讨回公道。对一些不愿意吃医生所给的药物的精神病人，病人的家属也往往从来不顾病人的意愿，而是与医生结合，欺骗病人，甚至将药物等偷偷放在病人的饭里，让病人吃下去。

一旦医生给一个正常人冠上了“精神病的帽子”，连病人家属也不再相信这个人的话，而只是相信医生的话。大家都知道尼日利亚政府2007年6月4日控告美国辉瑞制药公司在1996年利用尼北部卡诺州近200名儿童试验新药，导致其中一些人死亡或残疾，并就此提出近70亿美元的索赔要求。而这样的丑闻在世界各国不被人知道的还有很多。特别在精神病人这个群体，一个被所谓的精神病专家的一句诊断就剥夺了发言权，剥夺了人权的群体，这样的事情更是比比介是。  

精神病不是洪水猛兽。国家系统全面的心理卫生的政策和法律，社会上健全的心理卫生服务机制，可以让一些负面的精神和心理得到及时的引导和治疗，避免这些不健康的精神和心理问题进一步恶化，减少精神病的发病率。

社会上对精神病人消除偏见，可以让很多人能正视自己的精神和心理问题，一旦发现自己的精神和心理出现问题，可以马上去就医。而国家精神病医疗机构的更为完善的管理，尊重病人的人权，医疗机构提高自己的职业道德水平和专业水平，可以提高精神病人的治愈率。

从去年开始中国换发新的身份证，我发现了目前存在的很多问题：

第一：很多人没有旧的身份证，或者有两个以上的身份证。

换发了新的身份证后，这样的情况改善了很多。原来没有旧身份证的，赶着去补办了旧身份证，然后再去办理新的身份证。因为此次办理新的身份证需要携带户口本，房产证，也因此杜绝了很多有两个或两个以上身份证的情况。

第二：但是，目前中国还存在着一个严重的问题。很多人根本就没有户口本，属于“黑户口”。因为国家根本无法掌握“黑户口”的数量，相关的统计数字也是不实。不过老百姓根据自己的周围的情况估计，象我们这个有着70-80万人口（农村人口+城镇人口）的小城市，就有5万多人没有户口。

要解决这个问题，单单靠一个公安部门是无法解决的。而是要靠教育，税务，养老，医疗和民政等众多部门的共同努力，相互协调。  

从去年以来，我很关注养老保险的问题。目前中国的养老保险主要还是职工养老保险。但是中国目前存在着很多的流动人口，还有很多常住人口，在很小的公司里工作，这些小公司不具备办理养老保险集体立户的资格。于是，每个人只有自己想办法解决养老保险的问题。主要解决办法是：想办法找一家大的公司，把自己的名字列在他们的集体养老户内，自己把钱交给公司，然后公司出面替他们交纳养老保险。这样虽然暂时解决了养老保险的问题，但是对于国家掌握就业情况很不利。

当然如果找不到一家可以替自己交纳养老保险的公司，只能不交。目前很多人就没有交纳养老保险。特别是那些不停地变换工作的人，他们的公司即使是大公司，也不愿意替他们交纳养老保险。医疗保险更是如此。

没有完善的养老，医疗管理体制，对整个国家来说也是一个非常大的问题。

我个人认为，随着现代科技的发展进步，现代化的管理手段的更加完善，特别是信息化技术突飞猛进，非常完善和庞大的数据库的统一管理早已成为现实。国家应该把公安，税务，养老，医疗保险，教育和民政等进行统一管理，彼此协调

1． 公安    居民身份证  个人信息详细居住地及居住地变更 护照 驾驶执照（交警）

2． 税务    个人纳税号（居民身份证）纳税申报（每年一次）每年收入（可以有0 申报）

3． 养老金      养老金交纳号（居民身份证）

4． 医疗保险    医疗保险交纳号（居民身份证）

5.  其他  如民政，教育等部门

公安完善居民身份证的管理，同时记录必要的个人信息，详细出生地和居住地，和居住地变更记录。同时与护照，驾驶执照等的管理协调一致。

每个人应该有一个，个人纳税号，养老保险号，医疗保险号，这三个号码与居民身份证一致，终生不变。

公司应该有法定义务为职工交纳养老保险，医疗保险，同时为收入超过该纳税收入的职工申报个人所得税。一个人在一生中，可以不停地变换职业，但是他的居民身份证，个人纳税号，养老保险号，医疗保险号终生不变。

以养老保险为例:

因为有了公司义务为职工交纳的那部分养老保险，所以职工会非常乐意拥有一个养老保险户头。因为有了法定义务为所有的职工交纳养老保险，即使是小公司也必须每个月为职工交纳养老保险。

一个职工从一个公司跳到另一个公司后，原来的公司可以自动停止为职工交纳养老保险，职工也会主动联系新的公司，让新公司为自己接着交纳养老保险。那些不为职工交纳养老保险的公司，要承担法律责任。同时也可以纳入工商等对公司的行政执法管理中。

职工暂时没有工作，也可以自己交纳养老保险。如果当月没有钱交纳养老保险，可以下个月补齐。国家有关部门也可以随时掌握职工的就业情况。

因为养老保险的制度完善了，职工对自己身份证自然就很关心了。没有身份证，就没有了社会福利。“黑户口”情况自然就减少了。

以上只是我所看到的几个问题和对解决这些问题的几点建议。当然一个完善和系统的管理制度还有很多细节上的问题，需要很多人共同探讨。因为我目前正在受大脑控制武器的酷刑虐待，因此没有时间和精力做更进一步的研究，也没有时间和精力把自己的研究写成长篇大论的文章。

I like to take one day tour to countryside almost once a month to visit friends and relatives in countryside. I like to listen their stories, their opinions and see the changes of their lives.

I go to countryside again and visit three families.

(1) The first family lives a 40-50 years old couple and their 85 years old mother.

The couple feed pigs, they have about 60 pigs now. They have a daughter who is working in the city now. They girl is a very saving girl. Each month she can earn 1000 Yuan fixed salary and 200-300 Yuan over-time pay. Every month she gives 1000 Yuan to her mother and only spends 200-300 for food and other living expenses. In many places of countryside china, the main pension, health care, further education come from saving and deposit money in the bank. Children in countryside are taught to save money since they are very young.

The couple had a very moving love story when they were young.

When they were only 20 plus years old, the boy’s family was very poor, but the two fell in love. The girl father did not want the girl married with the boy, even jailed the girl at home. The girl run out from home; they run to another far place and stayed there for 3 years. Three years later, they came back home with a baby. The girl’s father still did not regard the girl as his daughter.

The boy used 2 years time to build a house for him and his wife without any help from other people. He carried back stones one by one from mountains; and cut stones with hammer and drill; he cut trees from mountains himself using handsaw and axe; he made brick with yellow mud; he was the bricklayer and carpenter; he built 4 rooms houses with wood and glass windows. The couple worked very hard to build their own houses like 2 swallows sparing no pains.

Later the boy learned to be a hairdresser; and then opened their small restaurant; and then started to feel pigs. Their life became better. But in year 2004, a sudden fire burned down in half an hour.

Government gave him 2000 Yuan; villagers donated him some money; my family gave him 4000 Yuan. All villagers gathered together to help them rebuild a house. Bricklayers and Carpenters provided free work; ladies in the village cooked food for bricklayers and carpenters freely. Only 2 months, a new 4 rooms house stood in the same place.

The 85 years old lady had lived a poor and hard life for almost her whole life. In almost her whole life she did not have enough food to eat. Only these 10 years, she could eat full. My dad and mum often visited her and brought her some food, clothes and other things. Every year before Chinese New year, my family always visited her and gave her 100-200 Yuan for Chinese New Year. Even now her son can earn enough money and her son is very filial piety. But it already becomes a habit, so every year, when visit her, still give her 200-300 Yuan. Pension in countryside rely on children. Filial piety is the most important moral in countryside.

(2) The second family is an old couple. The man is 84 years old; the lady is 80 years old. All their children are living in the cities, but they don’t like to live in city. The man used headmaster. The couple is a very rich old couple in the village at their age.

The man is silk and only can lie down on the bed now. Their sons are very filial piety, and every week one son stays at home and looks after him. But all their sons have their work, so they want the old couple to move to city, so they can look after him easily. They ask my dad to persuade the stubbornning old lady. Finally the old lady agreed to shift to city.  Filial piety is the most important; children must take good care of their parents. If you lost the reputation of being filial piety, in this small city, you may lose a lot of opportunities. Business man would not like to do business with you. Friends would not keep close relationship with you.

The couple also has a daughter which has 2 children, one girl and one boy. The girl was very cleaver and she was a very good student in her school. But 3 months before she was going to take the examination for university, her mother asked her to end her study and to look a job. Most of people in countryside still can not support for 2 children studying in University, so girls have to Sacrifice and find a job to earn money to support the boy to study in the university. Education fees are still very huge expenses for many families in countryside. Many good girls often lost their opportunities to further their studies.

(3) The third place is a vegetable farming place. A lady named “flower” manages that farming place which belongs to a boss who own an import and export company in the city. There are around 30 staffs working in the farming place. There are 2 people work in the management office, 2 ladies and 2 gentlemen. Every afternoon they would take some time to singing songs together, Instruments are only 2 Erhu. Many villagers in countryside are good singers and musicians. In their spare time, they like to organize together and enjoy themselves and make good fun.

Thirty years ago, they used to be very poor. My dad once visited one of the lady’s house. And find that there was nothing could eat in the kitchen. The house was almost empty and the family even did not have enough clothes for all children. Dad gave them 30 Yuan (it was dad’s whole month salary at that time).

The vegetable farming place is next to a river. But the river is polluted. There is a sewage treatment plant in the nearest city. But the sewage treatment plant makes big losses every year. They only open for some times every year. When the environment authorities come to check, they may open, if no body comes to check, they will close the plant. Waste water from factories have to pull to river.

After the breakup of the Soviet Union, the United States whether in the field of science, technology, military and economic power are well-deserved status as a world leader. It seems to have become the elder brother of the whole world. And it would play an important role in world affairs. But we see this is not true. Of course it is because some of its own mistakes.

If USA wants to act as an elder brother in the whole world, it must follow “Qian way”.

“Qian” is one of the most important concept of “The Book of changes” in China. “Qian” has 4 virtues: firm (indomitable); sound; mean; upright and justice. Firm, indomitable and sound without complicated and indecisive; Mean, upright and justice without evil and selfish. It is pure, refined, sincere and straightforward.

Of course, “Qian” also should be warm, consolidating its standing with kindheartedness. “Qian” sometimes should like a dauntless fighter, solid, determined, and tenacity. But for his children, he would give endless love and endless variety, from the most minor to give selfless concern.

The real “Firm Qian” has its different stages of development.

(1)        When time is not ripe, it should be refraining from action. It should hide strength, saving statecraft, ability and virtue, waiting for an opportunity.

(2)        When time comes, policy has been supported by all. The governor and officials from top to bottom, with one heart and one mind, it is a right time to act.

(3)        When it is acting, it should be cautious, very careful and verified again and again.

(4)        When some good results have been achieved, It likes a dragon flying in the sky, with firm (indomitable); sound; mean; upright and justice. It occupies the first place with sages of virtue. It causes scant mistakes and enjoys popular support.

(5)        But things will develop in the opposite direction when they become extreme. It should always make self-criticism when in the haughty position. It should be vigilant by often self-criticism.

(6)        The best realm of “Firm Qian” is a host of dragons without a head, enjoying the equality, freedom.

Following is the example of Tan Brown on how to calculate Cost of Stone.;

Customs currently approve for taxpayers to qualify for every cubic meter CIF price: USD580 x 7.8 = RMB4525
Customs tariffs and customs fee for each cubic meter: RMB826.59 (include: Value-added Tax 17%: RMB4525 x 17%=RMB769.25)

Lifting and Miscellaneous charges in the port per cubic meter: RMB100

Total Cost: RMB5451.59

If China importers want sale in this price, they need to pay another 17% Value-added tax: RMB5451.59 x 17%=RMB926.77

Actually Cost of Stone: RMB5451.59+926.77-769.25=RMB5609.11

If China importers want sale in CIF Price, they need to pay 17% Value-added tax: RMB4525 x 17%=RMB769.25

But the strange thing is that in current market, the best quality tan brown only can sale RMB4800-5000 per CBM

Because the Cost of Product is much higher than the Sale Price, in some ports of China which handling large stone import and export, Stone importers have tried a variety of approaches.

One of the most popular approaches is: Report less CBM to Custom offices.

For an example, while importing 165CBM Tan Brown, Importer and exporter cooperate together and only sign 99CBM in their Sale Agreement. Bill of Landing is written in 99CBM. Importer fills all documents with 99CBM to Customs offices.

Custom Value-added Tax can be paid less: (165-99)CBM X 580 X 7.8 X 0.17 = RMB50759.28

During the course that importer declares their tax return. They would do some “under table work”.

First of all, bribe customs and inspection officers and stones measurement officers.

Secondly, bribe some Custom agent and let them to bribe custom officers or stones measurement officers.

Thirdly, the port charges are also not fixed. Some people many get cheaper charges than other importers. Such as: the official charges which are written in the paper of port is RMB98.98 + 0.5(security fee) = RMB99.45 per Ton, but some importer can pay only RMB75 per Ton after “under table work”.

I met with several of the staff at the pier lifting, they pointed to a piece of about 30 tones stone to me, and said:”This stone is at least 30 tones, but they only report 10 tone. And only pay 10 tone charges. Everyday we have to do a lot of free works for them. Even we will work almost 10 hours and only earn 1000 per month.” 

Many foreign business people said to me:” In China, honest and legitimate business would step down, but “under table work” would earn money.”

Of course, there is also a reason to make some importers to declare less CBM when they file documents to customs. Because the broken during the transportation and handling in the port, some losses occurred from the broken to the importers. To avoid this losses problem, government should allow an allowance of 10-15cm on each side of stones.

Some buyers also buy stones in weight not in CBM; there will be no measurement problem of stones in CBM. But it requires exporter to cut the stone more tidy.

China has discovered a malicious competition in many sectors and solved a lot of problems. Such as: (1) Iron ore business, China has limited the number of importers of iron ore industry. (2) Coal mining, wholesale and retail business, China has improved threshold of the mining, wholesale and retail.

House! House! Everyday, so many people are talking about house, some with smiling; some with sigh; some even feeling a dull pain.

So many building are rising abruptly out of the ground everyday. But when we talk about houses, so many people in the city are still belonging to houseless group.

Who own those houses?

(1)     Rich people own most of houses. Because of rich, they can buy many houses in many areas which are only for holiday or short term residing.

(2)     Rich people also invest in houses. They buy and sell, and hope a rapid increasing price of houses. They also buy a lot of houses and rent out to those who could not able to bear buying a house.

(3)     In cities, there are also some kinds of short term rental condominiums which are called Hotel-style condominiums. They are one, two or three bedroom condominiums for short term or hourly rental services. It provides free cleaning services and other services same with hotels. Rich people buy houses and rent out as Hotel-style condominiums for earning money...

(4)     Poor people don’t have money to buy a house, but they are living in the city and have to rent a house. Their earning will go to rich people who own a house.

Rich people will become more rich and able to buy more houses; poor people will never have enough money to buy a house.

I go to countryside and have my lunch in a farmer’s home. Sitting on the heatable brick bed (kang), I chat with them. (In most countryside in my area, only old people and children are living in the villages, most youth and middle-aged people go to cities and work there)

The most often words from them I hear are “Feel Content”.

First of all, there are enough goods and materials. You can buy all kinds of food and clothes in the market.

Secondly, they don’t have to pay for children’s education fees. They have surplus money to buy some good food and clothes, or even other thing.

Thirdly, they have telephone connections which can call their children or relatives living in the cities; they have tap water, it is clean and convenience; they have televisions which can see all over the world, and very interesting programs.

Fourthly, countryside handicrafts can sale a good price now, they can earn more money.

Fifthly, now most heavy farming works are using machines. They have reduced strenuous labor markedly.

Of course, there also some problems they have to complaint, such as:

(1) Pollution, a lot of rivers is still polluted seriously.

(2) “Poisoned food or other products”, I hear from an 84 years old lady, she says:” Everyday, I will listen carefully whether there is a pig’s yelling in the butcher’s house.” If she hears the yelling of the pig, she knows that the butcher is killing a pig. She would run fast to the butcher’s house and buy some meat. If she doesn’t hear the yell of the pig, she would not buy meat from that butcher at least 3 days. Because possible, the butcher sells a sick or death pig during those days.  Farmers also wish government would take the responsibility to inspect all those products which for sale.

(3) They also worry about the sick and how to provide for the aged. The government already set up some system to care about the countryside sick and how to provide for the aged, it still need time to cover all of them.

(4) They complaint a lot of the criminals which flee hither and thither in countryside. In China, police only located in cities and towns. They all wish that one day, if their dogs are stolen, their chicken are stolen, their haystacks are fired, there will be some polices who can catch the criminals.

W only took one year Senior High School; she did not finish her senior high school. She went to work when she was only 16 years old. She used to be very poor; she even did not have RMB300 to pay for her son’s school fees. But In her, I saw some real elegance.

When she takes train, she cleans her seat herself and sends all rubbish to the bin. She would also clean the train floor under her seat, so that the Train attendants would do much less work; She has always been the first one who filled thermos bottle with hot water, to save other passengers’ time, they could take hot water easily, and did not have to walk so far for getting hot water; She would give her seat to those old person or disable person.

In her daily life, when she goes to visit someone’s office, she always knocks the door very gently, and when she comes out their office, she always walks retreat out of the room, and closes the door gently. In particular, in winter time, she always remembers to close their door to keep their room warm.

From her demeanors, even all are very small things, I see the real elegance. Comparing with those rich people who have enough money to travel all over the world, Television, Newspapers have criticized their many bad behaviors; I really find elegance is not brought by money or very high education.

Maybe a little bit mentality of thinking for others and facilitating for others, will really give everyone an elegance demeanor.

Some Chinese farmers went to the United States to visit a modern chicken farm. They saw the most advanced coops; the nutritious chicken feedstuff which was processed according to the most advanced formula; they saw the most advanced sciences and technologies which could shorten the period of production of chicken. After returning to China, they immediately swung into action. They established standardized chicken farms, based on advanced technologies they learned of in USA. Their incomes from chickens increased twice.

However, in the mangroves of hillside which were outside the modern chicken farms, they used traditional method to feed a group of free-range farming chickens. They fed chickens with traditional wild vegetables, corns and other grains; Chickens searched insects to eat in the woods and grasslands, drank mountain spring water. After full, they slept on thick growth of grass in the bushes. Farmers called these kinds of chickens "Strolling mountain chickens".

These farmers did not eat chickens which were raised in the Modern chicken farms. They believed that these chickens which were raised in the modern chicken farms were not healthy diet, because chickens were artificially shorten their growth period; artificially changed their freedom lifestyle; artificially damaged the original nutritional content by adding nutritional additives. They sold these chickens to foreigners and city people who liked these chickens. And they only ate "Strolling mountain chickens".

Meanwhile, the modern chicken farms owners in USA and city people were fond of chickens which were raised in modern chicken farms. Because they believed that in modern chicken farms, chickens ate food with absolutely safe sanitation; chickens enjoyed the most suitable temperature and humidity conditions in the coops; artificial nutrition made an ordinary chicken become a nutritional additive chicken. Modern technologies could short a chicken's growth period; increase output. Why did not go ahead with modern chicken farms?

Similarly, in the field of grains, vegetables, fruits growing and other food area, we have seen the results of modern sciences and technologies; output increased; the harvest period has been shorten; transgenic Technology has been used to gain much achievement in animal breeding and plants which people believed they had higher nutrition or with a particular disease prevention capacity. Extensive using of pesticide and chemical fertilizer and high technologies, such as transgenic Technology has increased the quality and the output of grains, vegetables, and fruits.

Meanwhile, we also found such a phenomenon. While farmers planting large number of high-yield and disease-resistance of new high-tech varieties of grains, vegetables and fruits, to achieve good harvest to meet the demand of the increasing population growth; in rural areas, many people have currently planted quietly a little bit of the original low yield crops, vegetables and fruits as their own consumption. Such as a kind of peanut which is almost extinct; a kind of original high stalks wheat which is not lodging resistant. People also have started to eat more and more edible herbs instead of only having normal vegetables.

A lot of edible herbs are also China herbal medicines. China is abounding in natural Chinese herbal medicine resources. It takes very important role in the prevention and cure of diseases. Nowadays, Chinese herbal medicines are not only medicines in the prevention and cure of diseases, it has furthermore become some common dishes in our dining-tables. It takes the most important part in having health food to improve health conditions.

Although we have been hearing all kinds of negative reports, such as: the failure of various food additives; animal and plant growth hormone harmed our health. However, the population continues to expand. To extort enough food from the limited land resources to meet the needs of human life, modern sciences and technologies have ensured the supply of enough food.

While people enjoying rich harvest which brought by high technologies, we have also seen a new way of eating food---Only ate natural food---which was agreed by many people become popular quietly.
